Accuracy in legal documentation is essential and the potential consequences of a poor-quality translation don’t bear thinking about.
At Wessex Translations, we understand what’s at stake. We appreciate that legal translation is as much about understanding the concepts of two or more different legal systems as it is about language skills and knowledge of complex legal terminology.
Our translators are experienced legal specialists, with backgrounds in, for example, company and contract law, European legislation, intellectual property, international trade, litigation, maritime law and witness statements. They all work into their mother tongue and are familiar with the appropriate legislation in the countries concerned.

We appreciate the confidential nature of your legal documentation. We take this issue very seriously and all of our translators sign non-disclosure agreements with us. We are also happy to provide certification for our translations when required, together with affidavit, notarisation and apostille for documentation required overseas.
